Menu Overview
Understanding your OXOCO menu structure
Menu Structure
Your OXOCO menu is organized in a hierarchy:
Menu
├── Categories (e.g., Drinks, Main Course, Desserts)
│ ├── Items (e.g., Iced Coffee, Pad Thai)
│ │ └── Modifier Groups (e.g., Size, Extras)
│ │ └── Modifiers (e.g., Small, Medium, Large)
Categories
Categories organize your menu items into logical groups. Customers and staff browse by category to find items quickly.
Each category has:
- Name (English and Khmer)
- Display Order - Controls the sequence in the menu
- Status - Active or inactive
Items
Menu items are the products you sell. Each item has:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name (EN) | English display name |
| Name (KM) | Khmer display name |
| Price | Base price |
| Category | Which category it belongs to |
| Description | Optional description |
| Photo | Optional image |
| Available | Whether it appears on menus |
| Stock | Current inventory count (if tracked) |
Bilingual Names
Since OXOCO targets Cambodia, every menu item supports bilingual display:
- The POS shows names in the staff's preferred language
- The customer QR menu shows names in the customer's selected language
- Both names are always stored, even if the same
