What Are Modifiers?#

Modifiers let customers customize their orders. For example:

• Size: Small, Medium, Large
• Milk: Regular, Oat, Soy
• Extras: Extra cheese, Add bacon
• Spice Level: Mild, Medium, Hot

Creating a Modifier Group#

1. Navigate to Menu > Modifier Groups
2. Click New Modifier Group
3. Enter the group name (e.g., "Size")
4. Set the selection rules:
   • Required - Customer must choose at least one
   • Min selections - Minimum number of choices
   • Max selections - Maximum number of choices
5. Click Create

Adding Modifiers#

After creating a group, add individual modifiers:

1. Open the modifier group
2. In the Modifiers section, click Add
3. For each modifier, enter:
   • Name - Display name (e.g., "Large")
   • Price Adjustment - Additional cost (e.g., +$1.00, or $0 for no change)
4. Set the display order
5. Save

Assigning to Items#

Link modifier groups to menu items:

1. Edit a menu item
2. In the Modifier Groups section, select the groups to attach
3. Save

A single modifier group can be shared across many items. For example, a "Size" group can apply to all drinks.

Selection Rules#

How Modifiers Appear#

• POS: A popup dialog shows modifier options when adding an item
• Customer QR Menu: Modifier options appear inline when selecting an item
• KDS: Selected modifiers appear under each item on the order card
• Receipt: Modifiers are listed with their price adjustments
