Bumping Orders
"Bumping" is the kitchen term for moving an order to the next stage. In OXOCO:
- Tap the order card and select the next status
- Or swipe right on the card for a quick bump
- Orders automatically track how long they spent in each stage
Prep Time Tracking
OXOCO learns from your kitchen's performance:
- Each order's actual prep time is recorded
- The system builds a model of expected prep times per item
- Future orders show estimated completion times
- Urgency colors update based on these predictions
View Modes
Filter the KDS to show specific order types:
| Mode | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | All active orders |
| Dine-in | Table orders only |
| Takeaway | Takeaway orders only |
| Delivery | Delivery orders only |
Switch modes using the filter buttons at the top of the KDS.
Multi-Station Support
Large kitchens can run multiple KDS screens:
- Each screen can filter by category (e.g., "Hot Kitchen", "Cold Bar")
- All screens share the same order data
- Bumping on one screen updates all others
